I recently came across a church topic on spiritual whirlwinds. It gave an analogy about a Tree.
When a tree is planted, and the winds blow, the roots are stimulated and grow further and faster into the ground so that it can become stronger and withhold stronger winds that are to come. Through out time, a tree builds its barrier to become thicker and taller and the roots go even deeper into the ground. Like a tree we experience through out life many different "whirlwinds"; pain, heartache, anger, fear, anxiety, and sadness. These are hard to face day in and day out. But, if we can become like a tree, and have our roots grow further into the ground and stand firm, we can start building layer upon layer with confidence, love, protection, happiness, comfort, laughter and joy.
I have recently learned through hard whirlwinds in my life to "Delete the Negatives and Grow from the Positives." If an unkind word is said or an ugly gesture is made, "delete it" but grow from it.
You may think; "Ya right Britney, easier said than done."
Trust me. I know. I have been hurt one too many times.
But the light bulb went off and it was as if the Lord put his hand on my shoulder and said; "How are you going to grow from this?" It wasn't right, but how can you take that strong "whirlwind" and plant yourself stronger in your foundation?
I have been constantly smacked with doubt and lack of confidence within myself as a mother, wife, daughter, sister and business owner. I've been questioning why? What do I have to offer? What could I possibly do that would help and change people's lives?
Then these words were said over and over in my head. " Delete the Negatives and grow from the Positives."
I took that phrase and pondered it deeply.
I prayed and asked the Lord to give me strength, To give me the confidence that I need as an individual.
I read my scriptures, for guidance and this is where I ended up.... Here... sharing my insights with you all. HOPING that I can impact at least ONE person in a positive way to understand, no matter the whirlwind, we will become stronger and be victorious in the end.
The Lord has great things in store for all of us. We need to remember to Rely and lean on him for help. Because who else would tell us to "Delete the Negatives and Grow from the Positives?"
Something to Grow and Think about.
Life isn't easy, but it is always worth Trying and Taking a Risk in what we want to succeed at in life.
