Many questions pop into my head about Why I take pictures; " Why do I do what I do?" "What is my purpose in growing a Photography business and still working hard in making time for my kids and my husband?" "Is this all really worth it, or is it all pointless?"
I recently came across my answer and I'm excited to say; MY EFFORTS AND PURPOSE is not pointless.
Through my images I want to Teach and Remind the importance in having God in our lives, The importance of Family, Love, Marriage and Communication with your loved ones as well as with The Lord.
My Images aren't just Pictures. They're life lessons. Each picture I capture is for a Reason; it's what the Lord wants Me; wants Us, to see for ourselves and learn from what He has given us.
What can you learn from Landscape photos?
Maybe the Lord is reminding Us what He created for us? He wants us to see all His beauty that He has touched, so why not capture it for others that are not able to travel and see it in all parts of the world?
What about Families?
When you see a picture of a Family or of Your Family; What do you see? What do you feel?
Love? Connection? A Strong Bond? Challenges? Emotion? We don't know what goes on behind closed doors.
When we see other Families Photos, we don't see the Challenges that they may face, but we can feel Happiness that they portray from their pictures that they have in their homes and with each other.
So what Does the Lord want us to see? What is He showing us through other Images as well as our Own? He probably is showing us that no matter the Heart aches, trials and struggles we all face; Families STICK TOGETHER!!!
I have a Special Needs Son, and its a different kind of work than if a Family didn't have a Special Needs Child.
But, these every day tasks need to be done to help Logan enjoy and get through life. This is our "Normal", This is our Family, and I wouldn't change any of it for the World. My girls are mature for their ages because they have learned what it takes to help the need of a special need sibling. They may not see it, but they are learning so many life traits; Service, Love, Devotion, Dedication, and so much more. My husband does everything and anything to help us as a FAMILY to enjoy life's experiences, but in our own way.
We Don't ask for pity. We just want others to be happy for us, as you should be Happy for your Family and Other Families as well.
What about Couples? A Marriage?
These two positions are a lot of work. You can take the easy way out, or you can work together and fight for what you both want; LOVE, SUCCESS, A CONNECTION, STRONG COMMUNICATION, APPRECIATION and so much more.
Strong Couples and Marriages just don't Happen. So when you "Look" at their images and think, "Wow, they are so in Love." "Dang, they have it made."
"They Look like they have the perfect life."
Yes, they are in Love, but no one has a perfect life. A perfect life comes in an APP with a ton of filters. Filters "cover" the problems and challenges that people are facing with.
But, what I feel the Lord truly wants us to see in Families is how; We are Eternal, A Forever Family, how we aren't perfect, and that's okay. What matters most is that we are doing our part and TRYING to succeed as a Family; as a Whole.
Then there's the beginning of starting a Family.
Whether you're pregnant or adopting, you become a whole different person. The Lord wants you to experience loving a Child as He loves you. Even in this stage of life there are so many emotions that many of you feel shouldn't be shared. But, I'm here to tell you that it's okay to cry, its okay to be mad, but remember the emotion that the Lord wants you to always have in your life is; The gift of Joy.
Find Joy in your challenges you face. Those are moments the Lord wants you to Learn in how to get through them, to be grateful for what you Have, and what you have been given in your lives. Life doesn't come in a box with a Pretty Red bow. Life is what you make of it.
So why do I take pictures?
I want to share and Remind all of Us what the Lord is teaching us in so many ways. I want to help others see what God see's in us, and what He has Created for us.
I want you to feel a connection and relate to each image in your own different way.
The Lord has a Plan for all of us. He has a plan for me. He didn't bless me with this gift to keep it to myself. He has blessed me and given me the to opportunity to share and remind others how He has touched us in our lives, and what He has to offer all of us.
2 Nephi 2:25 " Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have Joy."
Let us all feel Joy in what the Lord provides and blesses us with. Even if it's not in "Your Plan", let us find Joy in "God's Plan".
